The most basic element is size. The bedspread must fit the bed. The standard bed sizes are twin, full, queen and king, going from smallest to largest. You may also see California king, which is even larger than a standard king. Full is sometimes referred to as double. There are also sizes for younger children, and totally custom designs. Clearly if you try to put a queen size bedspread on a king size bed, there is going to be a shortfall somewhere.
A luxury cotton bedspread can add real quality to your bedroom décor. Unlike shiny polyester covers it will not slide onto the floor all the time. You will enjoy its extra comfort in cooler times and in the summer it may be all the bedding you need. A great quality cotton bedspread can be dyed to many colours to suit your bedroom decoration and it is a great way to dress up your bed to enhance the luxury look, especially with a few extra cushions. Some 5 star hotels now really dress up their beds. It does look fabulous though it might take a bit longer to actually get into bed. You might want the 5 star look in your own home too and why not.
