When buying bedspreads, you need to know your bed's exact measurements. Doing that ensures that your bedspread will fit perfectly in place. Do away with the notion that getting a size bigger is okay. Do that and you'll end up with a bedspread that has filthy ends. That's not really appealing to look at, especially if you decided to bring home a guest with you.
Native Americans were inspired to create the geometric patterns provided by the desert landscape in many of their art forms. The stunning palette of colors displayed on the buttes and mesas as the sun crossed the sky were taken by these native people and put onto their pottery and other art forms. Sand paintings, created for healing ceremonies, were also the basis for many of these designs. The intense colors of their surroundings was produced in their fine embroidery.
You can choose a wide variety of lighthouse bedding, and if you want to include a lighthouse bedspread, you can choose a pattern that is extremely subtle, very bold, or somewhere in the middle. For example, you can choose a bedspread that has one very large lighthouse splashed over the center of the spread or you can choose a more subtle pattern if you do not want the lighthouse theme to overwhelm your room.
The other difference between comforters and bedspreads is that the bedspreads will come off in the night and the comforters will be used when you will be sleeping. Even though the bedspreads slightly serve the purpose of keeping warm, they are designed for decoration and not for warming up. So you will have to use the comforter as the warm cover and the stylishly decorated bedspread to adorn your bed with a touch of elegance!
